Eternal Youth

I had a dream that I was telling Alfonso I had absolutely discovered and understood the secret to which all human beings contemplate and try to avoid daily. The Secret to Aging. Actually in my dream I termed it "the natural way to reupload your DNA to the present for eternal youth."

The secret to doing this was two things, one of which I forgot.

I remembered the other however, when I awoke I think because I need to do this for myself now.

The secret to eternal youth is, DRUMROLL please!!!...

To tell a new story about who you are now.

Tell the story of who you have become, not the story of who you were.

How often have we seen older people talk about the good old days? That's totally fine, its wonderful. How often have we heard them repeat the same negative stories? Maybe we don't hear those stories because those ones are left a secret seething in their minds.

I have my own secrets I got attached to for many years. 5.5 to be exact. I got stuck in one story that felt like death to me, and I could not move on from it. Then my dad died 3.5 years ago and I got stuck into another story that felt like death to me. Now for one year I have been helping my mom die and that is another story that feels like death to me. I don't mean this in a negative way, but where is the story of the NEW HEATHER in all of this?

I am sure on some level of your life you can relate too. Don't we tell stories over and over again? Often it is trauma that gets us stuck in one timeline, or story though. The traumatic event is difficult to process so we go over it again and again and we get stuck. At least that is what happened to me multiple times in a row.

Now its time to tell a new story of Heather.. Who is Heather now after all that I have been through, experienced and learned. And most importantly what does Heather truly want?

We can all ask ourselves these questions and therein lies the secret.

When we consistently reaffirm our NEW identity in our NOW, we will begin to re-upload our DNA and be beautiful and eternally youthful to that person we are describing. Telling the old story is like trying to reupload an old photo of oneself over their new self and it does not quite fit so it creates the appearance of age. We begin to age where our old story ended and the new one never began.

The truth of it all is we are writing and living our lives all at once. In each moment of our life we are telling a story as we live it.

Therein lies the secret of aging and eternal youth.
